〈Private Area〉 시리즈는 특정 사물이 지닌 공간성을 재료와의 관계 속에서 해석한다. 그중 〈Area Hanger〉는 행거를 단순한 가구가 아닌, 안과 밖의 경계에 걸친 작은 공간의 개념으로 바라본다. 행거는 외출과 귀가의 순간마다 거쳐가는 영역에 위치하며, 안과 밖이라는 두 공간을 동시에 연결한다.
스테인리스 스틸 판재를 절곡한 작품의 안쪽은 매끄럽고 안온하게, 바깥은 거칠게 마감되어 상반된 공간성을 동시에 드러낸다. 상단부에는 긴 막대가 안과 밖의 경계에 위치하여 서로 다른 두 공간을 연결하는 동시에 구분하며, 시각적 긴장감을 형성한다.
The Private Area series explores the spatial qualities of specific objects through their relationship with materials. Among them, Area Hanger views the coat rack not simply as a piece of furniture, but as a small space situated at the boundary between inside and outside. Positioned along the path of departure and return, the coat rack functions as a point of passage that connects these two realms.
Formed from bent stainless steel sheets, the work presents a smooth, tranquil interior and a rough exterior, revealing contrasting spatial qualities. Along the upper boundary, a long rod both connects and separates the two spaces, creating a subtle visual tension.
