이시평(b. 1992)은 물질에 내재된 이면을 관찰하고, 이를 조형 작업을 통해 시각화한다. 주로 결과로 드러나는 형태 이전에 작용하는 원인에 주목하여 물질이 변화하는 과정을 탐구하고, 그 속에 숨겨진 상징성을 찾아 나선다. 시간의 축적과 변화, 대상 간의 관계성과 같은 비가시적 개념들을 지각 가능한 구조로 전환하는 실험을 지속하고 있으며, 나아가 그것이 일상 속 사유로 확장될 수 있는 지점을 모색하고 있다.
Sipyeong Lee (b. 1992) observes the latent dimensions of materiality and visualizes them through sculptural practice. Focusing on conditions preceding visible form, he explores processes of material transformation and the symbolic meanings embedded within them. Through continuous experimentation, he translates non-visible concepts such as accumulation, change, and relationality into perceptible structures, extending them toward everyday reflection.
