가죽은 빛을 머금으며 점차 짙어지고, 금속으로 이루어진 거울은 빛을 반사하여 변화해가는 우리의 모습을 비춘다. 서로 다른 물성을 지니고 있지만 두 재료 모두 빛과 시간의 흐름을 투영한다. 시간성을 내포한 재료의 물성에 집중하여, 달이 차고 기울어가듯 삶 속에서 저마다의 흔적을 쌓아가는 모습을 담아내고자 한다. 작품은 단순히 모습을 비추는 사물이 아니라 시간 속에서 자신을 되돌아보게 하는 성찰의 매개체로 기능한다.
키아프 서울 2022, 한국공예디자인문화진흥원 부스에 설치된 해당 작업은 한국의 미를 담은 분청 달항아리 작품과 함께 전시되었다. 전시 기간 동안 유유히 회전하며, 전시장을 찾아오는 관람객을 맞이하고 그들의 움직임을 시시각각으로 반영한다.

Leather gradually darkens as it absorbs light, while a metal mirror reflects light and our changing image. Although the two materials possess distinct material qualities, both embody the passage of light and time. Focusing on materiality as a carrier of temporality, the work reflects how traces accumulate in life, like the waxing and waning of the moon. Rather than a surface that simply reflects appearance, the work functions as a medium for reflection, inviting viewers to contemplate themselves within the flow of time.
Installed at the Korea Craft & Design Foundation booth at Kiaf SEOUL 2022, the work was presented alongside traditional buncheong moon jar pieces embodying the aesthetics of Korea. During the exhibition period, it slowly rotates, welcoming visitors and reflecting their movements within the exhibition space.
