Focusing on the coexistence of heterogeneous materials within a single surface, this work explores the material relationships between leather and metal through the inlay technique.
Leather and metal possess contrasting qualities such as warmth and coolness, softness and rigidity. In particular, leather is more sensitive to environmental conditions than metal, gradually responding over time through tanning and aging. The work emphasizes both the transformation and contrast of materiality, while also revealing relational conditions shaped by differences in condition and composition.
